MARSHFIELD MUDLARK

Marshfield is once again preparing to lace up and run the risk of getting gloriously muddy as the much-loved Mudlark returns on Sunday 12th October 2025, this year starting and finishing at the Withymead Playing Fields.
For younger runners, the Mudling (ages 4+) promises a 2km lap through the fields and back to the playing fields. The Mudlite offers a gutsy 5km course of off-road fun for adults and juniors (ages 11+).
The headline event, the Mudlark (ages 16+) sends runners on an 11km course that winds through fields, along lanes, and explores the hilly beauty of St. Catherine's Valley and the surrounding Marshfield countryside. The Mudlark will be Race #2 of the Wiltshire Off-Road Race League (WORL).
All participants will receive a medal and a Marshfield Ice Cream on completing the course and race times will be accurately recorded by DB Max. There are no entries on the day, so advance sign-up is essential.
This event is organised on behalf of Marshfield Primary School PTA, and your entry helps to raise funds for our fantastic village school. On the day, expect teas and coffees, bacon sandwiches and cakes from the PTA team.

Please note that we recommend that all KS1 children (i.e. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2) are accompanied by an adult or older sibling who can take responsibility in case any enthusiastic Mudling competitor hits their athletic wall during their exertions.
Fundraising
This event raises funds for our village school. Our youngest members can collect sponsorship forms from the school, but you can also opt to use your Race Nation fundraising web page after your entry is confirmed. Alternatively, please consider making a donation when you book your tickets.

Please note that the routes will cross private land. The routes are open only for the duration of the race and are not open for public access at any other time. We are very grateful to our local farmers for granting this temporary access.
